The buyer pays once the seller grants access, and not before.

The URL scan reads the site, its scripts and its public records: 21 checks, no account, no limit on how many listings you point it at. The seller-data scan reads their payment processor and repository, read-only, and runs only after they have granted it.

Why it is free

We do not yet know what this is worth to a buyer.

A diligence scan on a business this size is a new thing to buy, and we have not watched enough deals to know what a buyer would pay for one. The first buyers to take a seller through the grant flow run at our cost and tell us afterwards what it was worth to them.

The next 12 seller-data scans run at no charge, with no code and no card. What we ask instead is that you tell us what the report was worth to you afterwards. When they are gone the price is $99.

Before you pay
When am I charged?
When you start the seller-data scan, which cannot begin until the seller has granted at least one tool. Sending the request itself costs nothing.
What if the seller ignores me, or says no?
You pay nothing, and you keep the free scan and its report. The report records which tools you asked for, which they granted, any reason they typed for declining, and whether they opened the request at all.
Is it per scan or per month?
Per scan, and there is no subscription. A buyer looking at one business runs one or two scans, so there is nothing for a monthly fee to bill against.
Can I scan the same site twice?
Yes, and the free one as often as you like — sites change while a deal is being negotiated. Each seller-data scan is its own purchase.
